Like many of the tacklers trying to bring him down, Travis Kelce has brushed off Aaron Rodgers and his  “Mr. Pfizer” jab.

During an appearance on the show Paper Route on Tuesday, Kelce said that it was “all fun and games” with Rodgers.

“He has his ways. He has his thoughts, how he feels about things,” Kelce said. “And he has the right to have that. How you feel about certain things is up to you.

“To each his own, and I think he was just having fun with it.”

As for the moniker that the former MVP hung on the Chiefs star, Kelce said he “didn’t think it was much of a shot” and that Rodgers was “just having fun with it.”

Earlier this month, on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers had dubbed Kelce “Mr. Pfizer,” referring to the tight end’s appearance in commercials promoting the pharma giant’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Kelce laughed it off while commenting about how Rodgers plays for the New York Jets, a team owned by an heir to the Johnson & Johnson brand, which also manufactures a COVID vaccine.

“Who knew I’d get into vax wars with Aaron Rodgers, man? Mr. Pfizer against the Johnson & Johnson family over there,” he said.

Rodgers followed that up with a challenge for Kelce: A debate, which would also feature U.S. Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. on Rodgers’ side and former NIAID director Anthony Fauci on Kelce’s team.

Unsurprisingly, Kelce didn’t take the bait.

“I’m no debater, man. You’re not going to see me up here going in the great debate against Aaron Rodgers over something like that,” Kelce said. “I think it’s all fun and games, at least between us, and I got all the respect for him.”

Kelce, of course, likely has more than enough on his plate right now with the NFL season in full swing and a blossoming relationship with music megastar Taylor Swift.

So, those who were hoping to see the two stars go head-to-head, will have to wait until the NFL playoffs.
