This loss might be a bit hard to shake off for Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

After losing to the division rival Broncos in Denver, the home team couldn’t help but rub it in with a fitting victory song: Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.

Kelce, the Chiefs star tight end, of course, is dating Swift.

Swift wasn’t in attendance at Mile High, which could actually help explain K.C.’s poor performance. During last week’s game, it was noted that Kelce performs much better with Swift in attendance and that the team has won all four games that she has attended this season.

“How could I not be aware of this?” Kelce joked to his brother and Eagles centre, Jason, on their weekly New Heights podcast episode.

Kelce made six catches for 58 yards on Sunday after having averaged 108 yards per game in the four contests with Swift in the luxury boxes.

With the megastar set to begin the South American leg of her Eras Tour on Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Chiefs better hope that Kelce can shake off this little funk.

The Broncos win snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Chiefs and it was also the first time that K.C. star QB Patrick Mahomes lost on the road to a division opponent in his career.

For what it’s worth, Mahomes was reportedly battling the flu this weekend and had received IV drips on both Saturday and Sunday.

Kelce and the Chiefs are doing some jet-setting of their own: Their game next week is against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany.
